Pollutants in your house? No thank you!

Health and environmental awareness are becoming increasingly important to us – so why should it stop at our front door? Pollutant-free and sustainable materials should be self-evident, particularly in the home.

Excluding allergies and more

Allergies, feelings of discomfort or fatigue, headaches, dizziness or irritation of the mucous membranes can be triggered by toxins in the home or mould. The more time we spend at home, the more important it is to take health into account when building and refurbishing.

Where do pollutants come from?

chemical pollutants are to be found in adhesives, paints or floor coverings. They are what are known as volatile organic compounds (VOCS), plasticisers and other toxins that are emitted into our indoor spaces.

Wallcoverings surround us

The wallcoverings that surround us on all sides of a room can also contain pollutants. However, Erfurt quality products, like woodchip or nonwoven woodchip, demonstrate that the look of a room and its impact on the residents do not have to be mutually exclusive. They do not contain plasticisers, PVC or solvents, which can be harmful to health.

The “Blue Angel” provides proof

These wallcoverings are predominantly made from recycled fibres and mixed with wood fibres from trees from controlled forests. Among other things, their safety was certified by the OEKO-TEST and “Blue Angel” quality marks, which are of key importance when you consider the durability of robust wallcoverings.
